A Swiss house, a name that commits
Founded in Vevey in 1983 at the request of Prof. Niehans's family, the clinic carries on a medical tradition in a private and attentive setting, on the shores of Lake Geneva.
Prof. Paul Niehans (1882-1971), a Swiss surgeon and pioneer, devoted his life to regenerative medicine and gave his name to a method known throughout the world.

1983
The founding of the clinic
On the initiative of Coralie Lüthi-Niehans, the Professor's daughter, the clinic came into being in Vevey, the only institution authorised to bear the Niehans name.
1994
The takeover by the Bärtschi family
Dr Edouard Bärtschi, medical director since 1983, took over the clinic with Dr Dora Bärtschi. The house has remained a family affair ever since.
The clinic's team
The clinic's doctors and the secretariat, present throughout your stay. The secretariat replies in French, German, English, Spanish and Mandarin; a Chinese interpreter can be made available.
Dr Edouard Bärtschi
Director, Neurologist FMH
A neurologist trained in Bern, Zurich and London, former head physician of the Hôpital de Lavigny, called in 1983 to direct the clinic, which he took over in 1994 with Dr Dora Bärtschi. Honorary member of the Société vaudoise de médecine.
Dr Nicolas Bärtschi
Psychiatrist-psychotherapist FMH
A specialist in psychiatry and psychotherapy FMH, he joins the clinic's medical team alongside Dr Edouard Bärtschi, his father.
Dr Patrick Bärtschi
Neurosurgeon FMH
A neurosurgeon specialising in spinal surgery, he graduated in medicine from the University of Valencia and trained in neurosurgery at the Hospital General Universitario de Alicante. He has practised in several Swiss hospitals, notably in the spinal unit of the Hôpital du Jura bernois, and is the author of several scientific publications.
Dr Nathalie Bärtschi
General practitioner, Chinese medicine
General practitioner trained at the Universidad Autónoma of Barcelona, with clinical experience at Vall d'Hebron Hospital (Barcelona), Cruces Hospital (Bilbao), and Derriford Hospital NHS (UK). Specialized in Traditional Chinese Medicine (International TCM University, Ruijin Hospital, Shanghai), offering a holistic approach to balance, prevention, and longevity.

The main point of contact for international patients, she handles the management, administration and booking of your stay.
